Attended th Tampa Boat Show on Saturday. Out on the docks they had a 378, 358 (with the rear state room) an a 338, all 2007 boats.

358 Vista = $119K
338 Vista = $223K

Both were boat show prices. I looked over both boats really well, I couldn't see why the 358 was lower than the 338.

I don't think that can be correct unless it was used with a bunch of hours on the engines.

I'm guessing that was a typo? Perhaps $191k? Which would be a pretty decent price too.

The day I brought the 248 home I could have brought a brand spankin new 348 home for 210K before haggling (and it was LOADED) full teak sole, thrusters the whole nine.. I bet I could have gotten out the door with that beast for 190K.

Mebbe next year! :)

I'm bad, 199K

But what really supprised me was the considerable lower cost of n the 358

Was the 358 somehow 'under equipped' compared to the 338? Like smaller engines, no genset, nav or the like?

Our 348 has the forward stateroom door. I've not yet seen one with the rear stateroom option. I'm not sure it'd be something I'd like. The rear cabin (on any boat) is already a bit 'cave like'. I can't see a wall helping it seem less-so. The only time I've seen the door on a mid-cabin work was one something like a Formula or a Doral. I can't recall which one. But basically they tucked a standing room area under the port seating. You the mid-cabin bed was the typical 'can't really sit up on it' sort of cave but the standing room space made it seem better than usual. Certainly better than a lot I've seen.

Regardless, those were some good prices. It'll be interesting to see what's offered at the Annapolis show next month.

Was the 358 an '07 leftover? That could explain the difference. Also I hear the 338's (which I believe are all '08's?) are hard to get right now. I saw one at my dealer. Nice boat, but I think definitely not quite as nicely trimmed as the 358.
