I have a 2004 Vista 268 with the vacuflush system and I am looking at adding the overboard discharge sysem. I see where the seacock goes on the deck. I was wondering if anyone already had the system on a 268 with vaccuflush that can possibly give me some pictures of how it is plumbed up so I can try to replicate it.

Thanks

yeah, I had that page and used it as a guide but it doesn't show with the vaccuflush system which would be sitting in the spot that the illustration is depicting that the macerator pump goes. Nor does it show how to tie into the vaccuflush system.

If I'm thinking right, my macerator is mounted on top of my holding tank. I know its not between the tank and the overboard discharge thru hull.

I have two pumps. On a system with both a dockside deck discharge and a through the hull discharge, there will be a vacuum pump on top of or adjacent to the vacuum generator and a discharge pump (macerator) just before the seacock.
On the previous diagram these are shown as (a) the vacuum generator or vacuum tank and pump and (b) the discharge pump.

Both of mine are on the tank. I'll try to get a pic today.

Thanks fellas. After a bit more research I think I wil just buy a macerator pump and some adapters to screw it into my top side disccharge port and run a hose. The problem I am having is the free pump out station by me rarely works and there is an RV camp ground just across from me with a waste treatment plant. I will just get a long enough hose to run from my boat to the rv camp when the free station is not working just so I can get rid of the waste. I have seen someone else on the internet with this setup and it is definetly the cheaper and easier setup for me for right now coupled with the fact that I am no where near being offshore. thanks for the help!

Curious, but if you are not offshore, why did you want to add the overboard discharge system? I have visions of you at the launch opening it up and letting the contents go into 5 gallon buckets and then dumping the contents into a Porta Potty. LOL.
