Call it a guess, but I think it would take somewhere around 0 minutes to heat up hot water
Seriously... good luck on that repair; I think FW uses a regular run-of-the-mill Attwood water heater, for which there are tons of parts available.

Used my boat (2006 378) for the first time at the week-end. The boat lives on a mooring, so I don't have access to mains power. I ran the genset for around 4 hrs with only the Water Heater and Battery Charger on. The water was only luke warm after 4 hrs. Tried over the next 3 days - all the same. I can hear the load on the genset decreasing after about 20 minutes, suggesting the that Hot Water thermostat was clicked out. Electrician tells me the thermostat on this model is fixed and can't be adjusted. Does anyone know if I can replace thermostat with an adjustable one ? Does anyone know how long the hot water should take to heat up (20 gallon tank) ? Thanks. Wayne R. |

You may have the hi-limit switch out on it. |
