I am looking to replace my cockpit carpet in my Vista 268. I don't want to go the dealer route due to the price and I am looking at a few different types of carpet to order and cut myself and just have someone sew on the binding. My question is does anyone know the weight (i.e. 24 oz or 40 oz) of the carpet that came in the boat originally or even had any advice on which one I should go with? I have been looking on a site that offers multiple manufacturers carpet and I am leaning towards the Baja one because of the backing. I can't decide on the weight and my carpet was trash when I bought the boat.

Not sure of the weight, but it's some pretty heavy stuff with the backing. I'd just go for the heaviest that you can afford.
