What a great find, a 6 step accordion ladder and two double fender holders for $120! The ladders are $399 everywhere, and the fender holders are around $100 each everywhere...Thank you craigslist!

Now just to figure out how to mount them....

The ladders are great, but you'll need to need to beach to use it. We put one on the 268 for boating on the rivers around Minneapolis. There are many places with a sandy shoreline. I only have two complaints with mine. They are not very comfortable with bare feet, and they are rated for 250 lbs. Exceeding that weight can bend them. I saw somewhere that someone made some treads for the ladder from composite deck boards. They lay in place on the horizontal bars of the ladder, and are much more friendly on the feet. We also put a KeelShield on the boat to minimize damage from beaching. The fender racks will open up storage space for other "crucial and essential boating supplies" such as the cooler, ...and the beer, ...and the munchies, ...and the beer... Best regards,

SI, yes a keel shield is definitely on my wish list...the ladder is really a recent need. We went out a couple of weeks ago with my in-laws. The water temp was 56 degrees and the family need to use the restrooms. We have plenty on the lake, so I pulled up to the beach and threw down my nice rope ladder and tied her off to the cleat...looked back and saw the puzzled look on my mother-in-laws face "How am I supposed to climb down that thing????" been looking for the accordion ladder since...

now in the summer, we just jump in the water so no problems...however I think it will be nice to have multiple routes.

Yeah, girls get a little narrow minded about having a "high water mark" when water temp is in the 50s. The ladder does work well. We see a lot of them on the rivers here. Depending on the neighborhood, you might put a cable lock or something on it.
