Doh! I almost had those for ya.......I just repaired my same hatch since any new one is too large for the opening and I don't want to cut it larger, nor spend 1000.00 to have someone else do it. Hopefully the hatch will no longer leak once reinstalled. Sorry for the long answer, and if anything should change I'm happy to toss those hinge pins in an envelope and mail them to you. Have you tried Hatchmasters in So. Norwalk, CT? I was there a couple weeks ago to see if they could fix my hatch- they couldn't, but maybe they can get those parts for you, or have some spares? www.selectplastics.com. They are very nice, extremely professional and honest. Good luck! Steve |

Also, there is a thread on here where one of the members installed the larger hatch themselves and it looked pretty easy to increase the size of the opening (but then again, the DIY shows on TV make everything look easy too). |

Yes, enlarging a hole by a 1/4" isn't too big a deal-- I would do it if I were replacing, say a window in my house (done that), but cutting into fiberglass (my baby!) for me, is a little nerve racking. Plus, I had a little bit of rotted balsa-core at the edge of the opening from leaking fasteners, so I needed to epoxy it first, plus I'm a real DIY-er who likes to "refurbish" things- heck I even reuse nails sometimes when I do projects around the house! I made an outdrive stand out of some old 2x3's I reclaimed from my kitchen renovation a couple years ago! So that's my long answer. Oh, try one more place up here in Connecticut……www.affordablemarine.com. They sell used boat parts, maybe they'll have these hinge pins……. good luck! |
