After new bottom paint and replaced a fuel pump, I hit 45mph on the gps this weekend. I couldn't be happier!!
The bottom didn't look that bad, but it was time for paint. Last year, I never saw anything over 37, but it feels like a new boat again. Super stoked.

Hey Lakebum - I'll bet you are happy hitting that 45mph number. I also give our 328 a short WOT run a couple times a year to make sure everything is running as well as it should. The specs for my year 328 with the GSI engines has a 44 - 47 MPH listed as top speed for WOT.

I'll be about 2 - 3 weeks before I crank my boat up and see what she puts out. :) She is still on blocks at present, but does have new VC-17 bottom paint applied and some waxing done. This week should finish up the waxing.

Mike.

Mike-
I know you've got to be getting excited, seems like every winter is too long. I've had boats all my life and I do catch myself complaining every now about maintance and fixing things. But I gotta say. each year I'm as excited about this boat as the day I got it. Hope your next few weeks go quickly. Have a great summer!

Thanks Lakebum,

Yes, I always look forward to the season start of turning the ignition keys and hearing those engines fire up knowing I will be pulling out of the dock and idling out the river towards the open lake. Always enjoy to way it feels (after the boat has wintered on blocks almost 7 months) sitting in the helm seat, waves lapping against the hull sides as the boat heads out of the no wake area to get up on plane.

Ahh, about two weeks to go.

Mike.

Two weeks for splash here too. Can't get over how long of a winter this has been, maybe due to buying boat in Fall and having to wait all winter to play with it.

Going to be a great summer with lots of time spent on Lake St Clair with at least one trip to Put in Bay. 8)

Feel like a kid waiting for Christmas morning to arrive :D

All new electronics including stereo system with remotes being installed, Underwater lighting at the swim platform and new carpeting in the cockpit.

Old boat now need to transfer all items into new boat but all locked up in storage. Good job for this weekend as long as were not in the way at the Maple City Marine storage facility.

See you hopefully on the water "Hour Decision" !!

Jus Laxin - No problem meeting up with you on the lake, either at the Sandbar, or you simply boat towards Lighthouse Cove and we'll head towards Mitchell's Bay and meet in the middle. :) About a 15 minute boat ride for each of us.

We have reservations for Lake St. Clair Metro Beach in Michigan for our Canadian Victoria Day Long Holiday weekend. You're welcome to meet up for us over there if that suits your schedule. We will be staying Saturday May 17th and Sunday May 18th before boating back across the lake and home.
I'm sure we'll catch up with you somewhere this summer. Enjoy your 328.

Mike.
