A lot of improvements went into the redesign such as the switch to a plastic condensate pan, minimal condensation trap, multiple condensation drain location options, same/less current draw vs. the 12K unit I replaced... etc. I sold my working 12K unit on ebay which cut the new unit cost installation in half. We added return air grill area as FW didn't have enough for even the 12K unit and I also added a discharge vent in the salon forward of the sofa under the step the leads to the v berth. I was extremely happy with the end result. Plenty of cold air and no short cycling issues.
