The new 458 will be at the Metro Beach boat show this weekend. Metro Beach is on the western shore of Lake St. Clair prit near halfway between the Detroit River and the St. Clair River.

Went on board today while it was being prepped at the dealer (Skipper Buds). Has diesels with IPS. Also, has optional extended platform. Very big, very impressive.

I plan on cruising over there tomorrow. Will post pix. Stay tuned.

Some pix of the new 458. Salesman from Skipper Buds say FW already has a list of 100 changes they will make including relocating the salon flat screen to the galley area.

Very big, very impressive.

The extended platform is optional. For those of you who like it (I don't) it can be ordered without hydraulic system.

Cockpit has an awful lot of glass and not much ventilation. Salesman said it's air conditioned but I assume that would require running the genset. Not sure how well that would work out at anchor due to diesel exhaust fumes.

Rear stateroom includes a combo washer/dryer.

No brochures available.

Does it come with a free tank of gas, that would be worth several thousand $$. as a rebate.

Good to see other LSC boaters! be sure to make it over to lscn.net :D

I didnt make it to the boat show this year, although all of my boating friends did. I heard about a simulator for the Volvo Pod's that was pretty cool.
