Do any of you other vista owners have the cupholders behind the captains seat with holes in the bottom of them? I dont know if they were replaced, or if it is original equipment. It seems as though the water that has gotten in them over the years has rotted out the plywood on the back of the top of my seat. I will update and post pics of the repair. Might want to pull them out and take a look inside before it get to bad. I am going to change cupholder so they dont drain. ![]() Untitled by rick2752, on Flickr ![]() Untitled by rick2752, on Flickr |

Hi, how will you empty the cup holders when they have water in them? I just replaced the cup holders on my boat with the style that have a nipple attached to the bottom of the holder, and attached a hose to reach the floor instead of items below the holder that I want to keep dry. My 2 cents. John |

Thats what I have but there is no hose attached. Maybe that is the solution. I wasnt sure how it was designed Rick |

Mine doesn't have holes; one simply removes the holder and dumps... |

I have some pics, but havent upload them yet of the seat rebuilding. I took it down to bare bones and replaced all the plywood. |

I don't have anything like that on my 248 but I think if u take out the cup holders there is probably some screws inside that hold that to the helm. I took my seat off and used the old pieces as a pattern to remake the plywood. I tried to reupholster but I'm not good enough to suit myself. Taking to upholstery guy Monday so he can stretch the vinyl. |

thanks for the reply! it does have screws holding it to helm.. but the wood is so rotted inside the whole piece. I guess I will just place some new wood inside it somehow... its a strange pice they created, and not easy to replicate |
