Trim gauge hasnt worked in my boat for years( time to fix)found the wires on the drive were crushed, broke and coroded. I replaced the sending unit and the wires now when i turn the boat on the gauge reads all the way up no matter what i do with the trim and when i shut the boat off gauge drops to all the way down???? Any ideas( bad gauge?) |

Have someone watch the gauge while you rotate the unit on the drive. It's on the side with 2 screws I think. We need info on your motor and drive also. |

I think it is just a potentiometer take it off the drive and spin it by hand and see if you can get it to work. It may be turned too far in one direction |

If you are a do-it-yourselfer, pull the sender off of the right side of the out drive (2 small screws or bolts) and rotate the hex end on the rheostat shaft while someone watches the gage to check operation. It may take a little experimenting to adjust it. |

Did I miss something? Oops I read that as you were calling me an ass instead of short for assembly. Lol. |
