Having a minor issue with the camper canvas on my 288 Vista, well one piece specifically.

The piece for the starboard helm position just doesn't want to line up right. If I zip it to the arch it's almost as if the piece is 1.5" too short (WAY too short to stretch it into place) and it doesn't even reach to the window frame. The starboard side was in the sun, and I also used a hair dryer to heat up the eisenglass to get as much "stretch" as I could and I still couldn't get it anywhere close.

I must be doing something wrong, any quick tips or should I just sit down and watch the DVD for the canvas again. Luckily the previous owner included that.

Just get the zipper started and then snap then finish zipping

I tried that a couple times. It's almost like the snaps weren't installed in quite the right spots.

I'll give it another go when I head up there later this week to work on a couple things before the weekend.

Make sure that the everything before that is centered. That the bimini is centered, that the zipper in the arch (if you have an arch) is centered from one side to the other, and once the bimini is centered, the front should then be? Did you find that the port side was really easy, or even has "slack" in it, that would be sign that maybe everything isn't centered..
