Has anyone got a clue how to get the batteries out of the hole they are in on a 318. I have paid to have it done a couple three times but thought I would give it a try. It looks like a there is not enough room to get by the exhaust riser. Looking for thoughts |

I've paid to have it done, but from what they told me they went towards the stern then in between the motors to pull them out. PITA. |

At least on the volvo's, there is clearance off the riser to squeeze them in and out. It is a pain for sure, but it's manageable. |

When I did mine a few years ago it was like threading a needle. I had to lay across both engines to unhook them, the move them towards the stern be hind the riser and thread it out end ways. It was a challenge, and I had the bruises to prove it. I had my son help, definitely a 2 man job. |

Thanks guys, it sounds just about like I thought it would. It is going to suck and leave marks. Cougar didn't know you sold, life gets busy doesn't it. Mine has sat on the lift in the backyard for the past 9 weeks. My daughter is getting married this weekend at South Seas Resort so I had to get it ready and found the weak battery. Still may get someone to change it as I may run out of time. Thanks again! |
