| Post subject: | Leaking Porthole Window |
The glass is not sitting flush against the rubber so water is leaking in. I can't find a way to adjust the fit of the glass..... Is there some way to adjust the fit? |

Try tightening all the screws around the trim bezel evenly, but don't over tighten them. Next take some spray silicone on a rag and wipe the rubber seal till it's clean. Finally adjust the tightness of the latches against the glass while watching the seal contact thru the glass.Do this by first adjusting the pivot screw (metal) and then the little plasctic screw at the end of the latch. With the twisting forces of the boat over time the bezel screws and latches will back off and sometimes lose their seal . The outer bezel with the glass and hinges is bonded to the hull |

If i remember right you have a 288. The latches that turn down and secure the glass has phillips head screws in them. Tighten them up a little |

the glass is not sitting flush against the rubber. The rubber looks in good shape - so is there a way to adjust the fit of the window? |

Tighten the screws around the hatch where it meets the boat. If some backed out it can cause the window to warp and things don't sit flat. Very common issue with all portholes. They require a screwdriver every couple years. |
