From looking at Yetis in the stores, it appears that the 24 quart may or may not fit in the 268's cooler location where the 36 qt original cooler goes. The Yeti is taller though, so you might not be able to get the lid open while it is in place. I'm not sure if this would work, but you might look at removing the fill-in cushion on the starboard side between the front and back sections of the U shaped seating area on deck and putting a smaller Yeti there.

Following up with this thread. I was Able to use a Yeti 45 Tundra (hardside) cooler in the v268. It's toward the top as far as height. I just Tilt the top forward and able to open it easily. Highly recommend this over the cheap coolers. I am Sure there is an Rtic, pelican Engle etc that will fit. Even in the hottest days, I ice Up on Friday afternoon, and it's plenty fine Sunday night. I do Not pre chill it, but most drinks are cool already....

Dont think the yeti 45 will fit in the 2007 278 which has an opening below the sink. The top of opening slants down to the back. Think it’s 24x14x13 at the back, will have to remember to measure it this weekend. Anything taller than 14” may protrude out the front. Looking for the biggest thick walled cooler I can fit in there. See a 40qt Giantex on Amazon cheap that might fit. Hoping to hold 24 bottles.
Still looking.

FYI,
Used this to replace the standard 36qt igloo that came with the 278 Vista. It fits in the space provided but I do have to pull it out about 6-10” to open the lid and get something out, it’s a little taller than the igloo. It works so much better than the igloo. Ice lasts all weekend if not too hot.
