all of this and not one picture of the finished installed new Control.

Second when you say that hte cables had to be replaced as they would not connect, can you elaborate on if they were broken or an adapter connection issue? I have been looking at buying this exact control for a little while now and it will most likely get done but i want all of the parts in order ahead of time to make a smooth install for minimal down.

thanks

and have you had any issues with it? being that i have the same controller and would be identical swap

Sorry, after I got it installed and had the electrical problem I got caught up in that...here are some pics....but I hate to say I forget why we had to replace the cable, I know one was bent bad...but the other I am not sure why it didn't work....I think it might have been missing that metal sleeve at the shifter end that on this shifter needed to be attached to the base of it using that black plastic v shaped clamp in the pic.

I have had no issues with it whatsoever...I'd say it was a very wise purchase

Those are really nice shifters. I have one in the box still, I was going to install it this spring but had a few other projects that had to get done first, it is much more positive than the old style OMC original shifters. Mine is still OK, but you can't even get the parts for these any more so the next problem I have with it, the new one will have to go in.

parts availability and the smoothness are the 2 selling points for me. Followed by looks and ergonomics. I will be installing one here before too long.
