So I looked into the inverter that is installed in my engine compartment, and to disappointment it is not ignition protected. Does anyone have a suggestion as to where I could move it to. It has to be within 10' of the battery, and I would like to keep the battery in the engine compartment. |

Great idea, thanks. Comparing specs between your unit and mine, my unit is 3/4" wider than yours. Do you recall if there was any extra room in there? (9.5" vs. 10.25") Also, have you ever had any heat related issues or concerns? Just wondering if I should plan for a vent. |

I put mine on the forward wall of the storage compartment between the aft cabin and the stairs. I removed the back wall. Stringing the cables was a bear. 10 feet of cable was enough. If I did it again I would look seriously at a pure sine wave rather than the modified sine wave. I did talk to another 268 owner that put his in the engine room, but the instructions do not recommend it. |
