Would like to run wire for xm antenna to top of radar arch any direction advise Fyi would start at inside cigar lighter beside under the cupboard

Hi--Are you using the radio that came with your boat or are you using a portable unit? I use a home antenna, not a mag mount, I have had no problems with reception with this kind of unit on my boat(even down below). When I bought my boat, I had an antenna installed on the arch, but never got to use it. I live in Canada and when satellite radio first came out, companies were required to strip out some of the gear prior to shipping. Even though I had an antenna, I found out that there were other pieces of the system missing so never bothered with it.
Home based antenna can and does work well on boats if you wish to save yourself from a project.

The radio is portable use it off season in wife's car

Purchased second antenna found guy to run it to radar arch as lake surrounded by large trees and found this the best spot charged me 60 bucks works like a hot dam

like Jimmy says why don't they have lunch at school 8)
