Hello,

I am new to the site, and a new owner of a new V355. No pics yet but they will be coming. The helm has a beautiful teak floor with white grout. I would like to apply teak oil to the floor but am concerned the grout will discolor if I get any on it. Are my concerns correct?

It is a beauty of a boat. Am very happy.

Good question. I just looked at a v435 that has the new (real) teak they're offering. I like how blonde the wood is from the factory. Lighter than I was able to brighten the teak on my Chris craft catalina. I think if you put some oil on a very small corner or edge you'll see how it reacts at the most you'll have to wipe down the caulk afterwords. Best bet is have your dealer reach out to FW and get their opinion and they'll likely consult their vendor. Post some pics!

mkivbren,

Thanks for the reply. The dealer's prep guy suggested applying the oil and wipe off any residue and the caulk. i will try in a hidden spot.

The v435 is an awesome boat. Mine and that one were side by side at a boat show. The floors are exactly the same.

Yes it is I've been waiting for the right 475 to come around, preowned, however I'm definitely thinking about that 435. I quickly noticed that real teak doesn't hold the heat that the flexiteak (even with white "grout")did on my 338.
