I am trying to get my hands on a new 12" 360 deg anchor light. My current light is being held in place with a series of zip ties. I located the part # on the FW site, but in speaking with 2 dealers I am looking at over $200 to get it to canada from FW. Does anyone know who made the light, and/or who makes a light with the same screw hole pattern? Thanks. |

My guess is it's a perko light. West marine or Amazon should have them |

The bolt that tightens the light down on mine was loose when I got my 278. When I tried to turn it, it was seized. When I tried to turn with a pair of pliers it broke the bolt off. My original one was designed as a threaded bolt on the mount side and a nut on the light side. I could not find an exact replacement quickly and cheaply so I drilled and tapped the mount (did not even remove from the boat as that was going to be another pain to cut the wires and figure out how to keep them up top of the radar arch. Then purchased a new screw from lowes that has the knob on the end. Worked great and cost a couple bucks for the screw as I had a tap set. Just an idea that may be a lot easier and cheaper than finding a new one and installing. Good Luck. |

That is exactly what happened to me! My post was a last ditch effort to find a reasonable replacement that didn't cost a fortune or put more holes in the arch... I have enough as it is. My light has a threaded stud on the light side and a hole on the mount. I will have to drill the stud out of the light and add a bolt and nut as a fix. It is looking like this is what I will end up doing. |
