The new boat was delivered to my dealer on Thursday, and we went to see it on Saturday. It is better than I could have imagined. The boat looks great. I would add pictures, but it looks like the photo gallary still doesn't work for me. I can't wait for spring now.

Thanks Bill

Thanks Giaccamo,

It will fit under the bridge at the weirs. That bridge is very high. You may be thinking of another bridge.

What is the best way that I can post the pictures?

Thanks Bill

I've had good luck using Photobucket. Here's the link:

Can't wait to see those pic's!

ps. It's been at least 20 years since we boated on the big "W"! We loved the place! IT is the Weirs bridge I am thinking of, with all the boats parading thru! It was lot's of fun. Regarding the height, I guess it's just my aging memory that's failing me!

Bill, Great Looking Boat. The pictures did work, but they need to be resized. I have found the best way to do it to to highlight the IMG code at the bottom of the picture and copy and paste it into the body of your message on the messageboard!

Again, Congratulations!

Nice!!! You must be salivating for springtime! How long did it take to get her from the point you finalized the order?

Thanks mkivbren,
I placed the order in late September with a plan that it needed to be delivered and paid for by December 15. The boat went into the mold on 11/5 and took about 3 weeks to make.

I was very impressed with the build quality and the clean up that my dealer did. The boat was cleaner than any boat show boat I have seen. Other than the small amount of anti freeze behind the toilet.

It will be a long 128 days till ice out.

BHuryley - what do you do with the boat through the winter? will the dealer store it indoors for you?

SO - let's hear the list of everything you have convinced the other half that you guys "must have"!

That boat looks fantastic! That boat is the perfect boat for me to move into after we get bored with the H240....

They are going to keep it stored indoors until ice out then I will take delivery. They are doing a few installs over the next few weeks. Standard Horizon C300 GPS/chartplotter, depth sounder (installed below and to the right of the steering wheel, and they will install a cable tv outlet for me inside the transom locker. They are going to take pictures once they are all done.

The must have list was fairly short based on the fact that so much is standard now. My wife was on board with everything. The only issue we really had was the color. She wanted the clasic color band, but wasn't keen on the way it went over the rub rail. I wanted the white hull with navy tape. So that worked out. I think the plain hull will save some buffing.

we added the upgraded stereo with transom remote
rod holders (for our Bar-B-Q grill)
and the extras they are installing.

I can say that we have every option that I could have asked for. So far I wouldn't have changed anything.

I was surprised that both wipers are now standard, and the helm cover will be great. No more towels over the gauges.

Take care and come on spring

Bill

Congrats Bill and best of luck! And I'm with you on the helm cover - I was always a "helm towel draper," so it's one of those extras that makes me smile :D

Bill on the electronics, have you considered getting the fish finder add-on for the Standard Horizon and using that for a depth finder? It could save you a hole in the dash.

I'm considering that combination or a Northstar M84 that has sonar built in. The dealer keeps pushing the Raymarine, but I'm not thrilled with the Navionics map chip for the lake.
