Currently loving our Horizon, but naturally always looking for our next boat. My wife wants a cruiser/cuddy next and I've always had my eye on the Sundowner 26. Enter the new Vista 25. Looks pretty nice from what I can tell. Thoughts on it? I know most will say its cramped compared to the larger Vistas, but I don't want something TOO big as I'll be trailering/launching often, as a dock slip isn't in the cards anytime soon. |

What do you want to know about the 255 -- our factory rep was just by the office and seemed pretty excited about it. At first glance, the skylights in the deck and the hull windows should lighten things up down below. It is a bit of an unusual layout with a galley with sink, fridge and microwave in the cabin -- but the cooktop is in the cockpit, with another sink and a cooler or cockpit fridge. I have a price/option sheet for it but am still gathering most of the specs. It looks like Four Winns has a handful of new models being introduced next year (including the 255, new outboard powered deck boats and a 24 ski boat from what our rep said). We're supposed to receive a 275 in a week or so -- it will be interesting to climb around that one and compare it to the only other Vista we have in stock, a 435. |

Just looked at there website it's the H180 (O/B) TS Series -(Ski boats) |

The Horizon 180 OB has been available for a while. My understanding is that there are 22, 24 and 26 foot outboard powered deck boats in the works (in addition to the Vista 255 and 24 foot TS ski boat). All I saw so far were artist renditions of those. I believe that all of them have enclosed heads. The dealer meeting is in few weeks -- everybody should know more at that time. Riva Mike |

Cap'n Morgan wrote: Ikea inspired ![]() I'm with you Cap'n. Not liking the Ikea look. That port side entrance to the aft cabin is what I didn't like on the SR boats. You have to be a gymnast to get in and out. The cockpit arrangement looks roomy though. I don't see a screen door on the cabin and those side windows don't look like they open. Not much for ventilation I guess. |

I agree it's tough to squeeze into those narrow portside entry mid cabins and removed many boats from our shopping list when we were searching for our last cruiser. There are a couple things I think will make this boat attractive once we see pics of it and that is the optional darker cherry cabinets and the optional arch. If the arch is a steel one like on the 258's I think this boat will fill the gap for small families who would like to occasionally overnight but still need a boat to perform wakeboard/tubing duties for the kids. The dual step swim platform, the swim tow eye, and the stainless steel arch makes me think that's what this boat was built for. If they power it correctly this boat could be a blast for small families. I still can't believe it's got a 9k A/C unit...that's almost double the unit in my 268 ![]() |
