I have a 2003 268 Vista, Over the past few months my engine goes through a brief period while running when is misses. This usually occurs while coming up from an idle speed and is remedy by dropping back down to idle then accelerating again. It is a 6.2L MercCruiser engine. The first couple times it did it I though there was something on my prop so when I dropped down I ran it in reverse a bit and the problem was resolved, but when it re-occurred I realized it was an engine issue. Any ideas? |

When was the last time you changed the cap, rotor and spark plugs? |

Dump your fuel filter into a can and see if you have any water in there. If no water is detected I would suggest moving down the line checking the out the rest of the fuel system for possible causes. |
