A recent thread about automatic extinguishers caught my attention as we don't have one installed in our boat. I am curious to know who has them, and if the came with the boat. I would also like to know who doesn't have one. A bit of a poll I guess, and I invite any other comments as well. |

Our 258 and 338 both had them factory installed. |

my 2005 v 288 came with one and the gas fume detector |

My 1999 238 vista had one installed from the factory, howerer for some reason it's been removed, leaving just the brackets and wiring etc. Will be (trying to) get a replacement this year. |

Hello, My 2005 - 378 came with the Fireboy system as installed by Four Winns. Never have had to use it....thank God! |

Fireboy came factory installed. Have 3 portable marine dry chemical units - 2 topside under seats and one in the galley area just in case. By the way I forgot to remove the portable units from the boat before winterizing this year and hope freezing temperatures (Canada) don't impact them. Anyone know? |

My 1999 225 Sundowner had a powder one, no idea who fitted it,, replaced as soon as I got it with a gas one. My 2004 245 Sundowner came with a dealer fit dry powder ( i.e. cheap) extinguisher; ditched very quickly for a gas one. My 2009 278 Vista came with a factory fit Fireboy gas one. |
