I recently purchased this 2006 V288. The previous owner kept it on a lift. I will keep it in the water until I get the lift installed. The boat has 2 inlets in the rear for fresh water inlet in which he used Salt away after every trip. Since the boat is in the water, is there a seacock I need to close so the pump does not suck the seawater and use the water from the fresh water hook ups? Or do I still need to use the flushing kit over the drives and to that hook up the salt way?
Can find anyhwere where there is a seacock to close.

If it is like my 278 then there is no seacock to close.
The flush system has a valve inside it that allows it to pull the fresh water in and close off the outdrive water.
You do need to make sure the cap where you connect the fresh water is secure and the seal inside the cap is in good shape to ensure no air is being drawn in once you disconnect the fresh water line.
