Has anyone had an issue with wipers on 2008 V358? My wipers are not working properly. When I press switch to up position driver blade moves half way then stalls. You can hear motor running when it is stalled. The drive shaft is secured to the blade. When I give a little manual help it continues through its cycle. The return stroke is fine. When I shut the switch to off it has to cycle all the through the stroke before the power is cut. I am trying to remove the blade but can not get it loose. I removed the Allen head set screw but it seem to be frozen on the drive shaft. I can't get the motor out without removing the blade. Any suggestions?

Sounds like the gears have been stripped. I have a 2000 Vista but this has happened twice to my port windshield wiper motor when the walk-thru window to access the bow has been left open constricting the movement of the blade when someone accidentally turns on the wiper. I boat on a lake and really don't need the wipers so I am going to remove the arm assembly with this tool if I can ever find one in stock (pathetic that we have to buy a tool to do this).

Thanks for the reply. I was able to remove the blade on the port side and pulled the motor. I opened up the casing and the motor is definitely burnt. The gears look ok, nothing stripped. I was't able to get the blade off the starboard side so I have not removed that motor yet. I looked on line and it doesn't look like Marinco/AFI makes that model number of motor any more #37281. they list a #37181 on their site. Doing some internet surfing today to see if I can find one.

How did you remove the wiper blade?

Finally got the wiper blade off with a little muscle. Just kept wiggling back and forth and got it off. New issue is there is not enough room to get the wiper motor out. Not enough space between the bottom of the motor and the fiberglass ceiling in the head. Tried every angle possible and just not enough room. Motor bottoms out on the head ceiling. Any suggestions???? Almost looks like the damn motor was installed before the ceiling panel in the head was installed!!!

I talked to Marinco about the wiper motor model. Hey tell me the 37180 should work in place of the 37280. Only difference is the 37180 is a little smaller, meaning distance from shaft to mounting screw is shorter.
