I feel silly asking this but I can't figure out what the panel lights breaker on the shore power breaker panel does. All of my lighting is 12V and requires the ship systems breaker to be on, independent of the panel lights breaker. Boat is a 278 vista. Thanks!

I believe that will be the backlighting to illuminate the breakers switches on the panel... In a dark cabin, turn it on... ;)

Just noticed last week that the lights behind my panel must be burned out. Plan to see what bulb I need in there unless someone can tell me and I can take it to the lake with me.

Flyer, I think it is a wedge type lamp (like landscape light bulbs - T10). There were also BA9S bulbs on the boat as well too :? I replaced mine with LED a couple years ago and they work well. There were two in there if memory serves correctly.

Nice call! I switched it on in the dark and the panel backlighting came on. Pretty cool.
