I read the thread from mkivbren about the V475. Got me to thinking - how many 40+ ft models were made? Was there a V425? IS FW still making them? How many were made? Did they sell well?

I'll tell you what I know.. They haven't produced a 475 in 2-3 years. Basically most of their 4xx models were going to Canada when the exchange rate was favorable. They actually left the 475 out of the lineup online last year (and still to this day) and so I asked if it was discontinued. The answer was no. They'd build one if an order was placed. Their true 4xx models are the 475/435/and H440. IIRC the 440 is the same lower hull mold as the 435. My friend in NJ who is an original 08 458 (475) owner said there was discussion at the time to design a 55+ model but obviously the economy tanked, Genmar went bankrupt and that idea never came to fruition. I would like to know the production numbers myself. One day I'll nag my source at the factory to see if he can track that down.

Thanx. I looked up the H440 - a 44 foot bow rider! Interesting. Does your boat have the large swim platform? IIRC = If I remember correctly? What were the mechanical changes that you referenced in your other post? Do all of the 4xx models have pods?

Mkivbren is correct, the 40+ haven't sold as well as hoped (I'm still looking out my office window at the only Vista 435 in-stock anywhere in the US that we haven't been able to move yet).

However, there are some changes for 17. There are now 22, 24 and 27 foot deckboats. I believe all three come in both I/O and outboard (not 100% sure of the 22). The Sundowner lineup is discontinued.
