Post subject:  low oil press / hi temp warning system how is it working

hello and new in the Forum
boat model Vista 268 with 5,7 GSI VP dp year 2000
I do not understand how the warning sys is working for low oil press or hi temp
got aural warning in dash board constant , while normal Speed and with 3500 rpm oil press on gauge normal and temp on gauge also ?
After some time warning sound stopped came back and stopped again
the rest of the journey no more warnings ?
now my question
how is this warning sys working when I turn the key to ON I have 2 beep from the eng hull nothing from the dash board ?
if I connect the wire to gnd from the low oil press switch I do not get a warning ,which I think should give a warning ?
So my question how is the logic behind ?
many thanks for any help
