All,

I have a 2006 288 with 362/374 hrs. I just got it back from a 100 hr service. The boat did not smoke prior to this service. All of the sudden after service, its smoking a dark/grey smoke. I am hoping it is just a spark plug issue, maybe mech did not check gap. They only other work on the engine was a removal of a manifold for inspection. He also did a complete washdown of motors. Thoughts please...

Incomplete combustion produces grey/black smoke.
Removal of a manifold for inspection on a engine with 374 hours?

I asked to remove the manifold because although its got low hrs it is a 2006. Previous owner never changed the manifolds but flushed regularly. I wanted to see the conditions of the manifolds.
So you think there may be an issue with spark plugs... lets hope..

Thanks..

Found the culprit. The MAP sensor took a crap.
