happy spring, well at least it was here for a couple pf days in michigan.

just thought i would ask how others w/o trim tab indicators, use their tabs. w/o knowing the if they are up/down or in-between. how many seconds to cycle from full up to full down? i found a leak & the reservoir empty may be part of my problem.

any advice?

also,

the location of the geararm

trim reservoir, i thought i should be checking that while i at it?

The tabs on my 268 take 7 seconds for full travel. We usually just count. Normally the tabs are up all the way. We use a small amount of deflection on one tab or the other tabs for leveling the boat at cruise speeds. We also use full down tabs to get on plane when we are loaded heavily, but normally we don't need tabs to get on plane.
