hello friends, i am adding fluid to the trim tabs reservoir, then tested. the tabs are functional but tried when i tested the gearcase arm & noticed a smooth sound going up but going down is like the sound jim carrey makes in dumb & dumber in the van scene, not at all the sameas going up. any guesses why this is happening? zif |

My SX drive does something similar. Nice smooth sound trimming up but trimming back down it makes a weird noise. Trim fluid is full and I think I have had the drive up and down plenty enough to have purged air from the system. It has done this ever since I bought the boat a couple years ago. Does not seem to affect the function of the drive trim and my boat has had so many other problems I have put off dealing with it but it would be nice to know what it is. |

i have not checked my fluid level but you say your fluid is full. it is hard to believe that it is normal. zif |
