I thought I'd clean out the sump and noticed a slimy gelatinous black nastiness floating/coating the inside. I got most of with my hands and a paper towel but I had a thought. We usually flush out the shower quite well afterward but obviously it's not good enough. Would it be okay to pour a small amount of bleach down the drain in the head so
that is sitting in the sump and not the gooey cultures that were growing in there? Would that have an adverse impact on the entire waste system?
Second, I noticed what looked like sawdust in the forward bilge. I have no idea where it could have come from. I vacuumed it out and wiped up the rest (some of it was moist) with a paper towel. Any thoughts as to what it was?
