New to this forum so not sure if this has been asked before. My recently purchased 05 Vista 248 has a list to the port side at rest and I cannot resolve. No water in the water heater and two standard batteries on that side. Starboard has an empty water tank and no Genset.
Fuel tank is 3/4 full and both trim tabs all the way up. No water in rear bilge, not sure how to check the front. Boat is in a wet slip and in great condition.
Dealer has no clue why, but indicated it may be from no genset and empty water tank on the starboard side.
Any ideas out there?

Weight distribution. Trim tabs won't affect the vessel at rest.

Move the batteries or at least one to the to the starboard side My 245 Sundowner used to list to starboard as the 2 batteries were on that side!.

I agree with Graham. You will need to move something to balance the boat out. Our 258 had the same issue. I was told FW builds the boat for all options and when something is not installed, you will have a list.

They all do it. Mine is the same. If you think about it, the water heater, batteries, cooler, fridge, microwave and galley storage are all on that side. Only thing on the starboard side is the water tank and even with it full there is still a bit of a list. The seating is mostly on the starboard side. So when you have a couple people on board I noticed it evens out. Not sure if that was the original intent when it was designed.

I thought about moving the batteries to the starboard side but it seemed like more trouble that it is worth.
