So, I decide to replace the boot for my Bimini. Contacted Great Lakes. They were awesome through the whole process, btw

I ordered the boot. I have a radar arch, my Bimini goes underneath the arch. When it folds up, the front folds aft. The back folds forward, and one boot (hard to believe) zips around the whole top. I know some in 2002 and later attach to the arch and when stored have 2 separate boots. 1999-mid 2002 seem to go below the arch, all one piece.....

After much leg work, mainly from Great Lakes (THANK YOU!), they did not make my Bimini.... They are going to give me a full refund once I send this one back, again, great service....

So my question (Gary), do we have the same Bimini top? How does yours store?

Thanks all that respond

Your bimini and mine are similar, but there are differences. Your bimini goes inside the arch, even at the base of the arch. Mine attaches to the outside of the boat. Mine does fold the same way, but I don't know whether all the bows, canvas sections, and other parts are the same.

Thanks Gary
So, since Great Lakes made the ones that attached to the arch, did four winns make ours "in house"? I wanted a boot that had the FW logo on it, any idea on a place to get it made?

Yes, I was told that Four Winns made the canvas for the non-arch boats. I am not sure about the 2002 and older boats with an arch. 2 or 3 years ago I talked to my local dealer about buying replacement canvas. He said that Four Winns still can provide those parts. At that time I was quoted something just over $2100 for the bimini, front, sides, and back panels. In an earlier post I had included more details and prices. These panels will come without the snaps on the lower edges. These snaps need to be installed during your fitting and installation process to match snap locations on your boat.

Yea mine sounds identical to yours under radar arch. I contacted FW and they got me in touch with a dealer to replace it. FW is a great help getting parts.

Awesome, any idea what it cost? Or a contact? How long ago was it?
Thank you! I was thinking I would have to take the boot to a shop, and have to get the "four winns" added in the winter...

Hey guys... I have a 2001 268 with an arch and the Bimini never touches the arch and one boot holds the whole thing. There is a Four Winns and logo stitched into it. I think it is my one complaint about the boat though. I would love to convert the top to attach to the arch but I don't feel like spending a "boatload" of money on it. The top is in great shape so I can't justify it. Also, my Bimini has a tag on it with a manufacture date as well as the seamstress who made the top. It looks like it was all in house.
