Question with twin fuel tanks and both motors running same amount of time, shouldn't fuel usage be the same when topping off both tanks? My starboard motor burns twice as much as port.... All the fuel valves are wide open and i have not run the gen set. Last time it was 44 gals and 19 gals. Is this normal? My first boat.....learning

I had this issue until someone set me straight on this.
The manifold has three valves. Shut the center one. This will allow each engine to run off of there respective tanks.
Contrary to what some might tell you. The tanks don't seek a level with the other one. There is no connection between tanks to accomplish this.
