OK I'm a little late to the party on this one but I purchased a digital converter for the stock analog tv. Somebody here must have done the same albeit in a more timely fashion.

Can someone walk me through the installation process or point me to a youtube video?

You basically have to get the TV input selector to switch to the "converter" being it's input source, rather than antenna.

Then do an autotune for the converter.

Good luck with digital: the "modern" digital service in use her in the UK for what must be over 10 years now is a LOT more sensitive to poor signal strength than the with the old "old fashioned" analogue service. Instead of slight interference, poor signal will result in the picture become pixelated into rectangular shapes. Picture hang up, Sound loss etc. Plus sensitivity to mobile phone activity. When it rains we lose 50% of our channels as they only transmit on around 5-6 multiplex frequencies to conserve bandwidth that can be sold off to the mobile phone companies.

I just did the same thing. On the 268 there is a signal amplifier behind a trim piece above the galley. I see the antenna cable come in and 2 outputs, which is weird, I only have one tv... anyway, going to put the converter in this weekend and see what (if any) channels I pick up. I will let you know. Please do the same

I did not, was able to do everything, scan channels but never got a signal.... my stock antenna has a red light on it. I am almost positive that the red light was on before. Couldn't see it Sunday, but it was bright and sunny. So, gonna see it I can get it lit up (power to the antenna) this weekend and try again....

You might want to check that you are not reading that switching unit 'backwards' i.e. it is an input selector rather than output switch.

On my vista - there is a co-ax input in the transom shore power cabinet that lets you plug in a marina provided co-ax cable signal (as if anyone actually supplied that!). The Shakespeare box in the galley cabinet switches the input from either the arch mounted antenna or the marina cable system - then into the signal booster and then to TV.

Could be worth a look.

I am comfortable I have the right cable feeding the right cable from the output, because the digital scan info, the other 2 cables were a black one and a white one. The cable from the antenna is white. So I think it's right.... I don't think the 268 has the coax feed in the rear, at least I didn't see it (not that I was looking for it)

I will spend a little more time on it this weekend and see if I can trace out the other 2 cables to verify what I think is going on, plus try to see that the red light lights up on the antenna....

Chris268 you trying to get signals on Shelbyville? If so I can't imagine being able to pick up anything there as your so far from the nearest station. You should be boating anyway not watching TV!

Well, that's good to know there isn't any stations available. I agree with the boating part, I just want to try to get the systems to work as well as possible.... also, while on the hook at night, sometimes it would be better than a DVD, or at least for a change....

Netflix lets you download movies to your tablet now. You could always hook a tablet up to the tv. We had good luck picking up stations when we were in the marinas on Lake Michigan with no additional antenna.

We were not able to get to the lake this weekend. You going to be on the lake next weekend?
