| Post subject: | mounting an outboard to a 248 |
Recently picked up a dinghy for my 2000 Vista 248. Currently using a trolling motor for it but would like to get an outboard if I find one. Just curious if any 248 owners have a dinghy/outboard combo and where did they mount the outboard when not using it? The 248 doesnt have a "true transom" and afraid the handrail on the back would not support a small outboard. Thanks |

I suppose it depends how often you are likely to use it, but I can fit a 4hp in the starboard storage compartment in the V berth. |
