Post subject:  AC unit shuts off, low pressure

Hi,
My 2009 Vista 338 AC unit runs for 5 minutes for x3(as manual suggest it will) or so and shows error code that the pressure is too low after the three tries. This is what the manual suggests for the code on the panel. We have checked the freon, replaced the water pump and checked the amount of water is flowing well to the unit.
Does the air intake come from the cabin thru the radiator on the unit?
It's been suggested that the air coming in is too little.
The AC unit has not worked since we bought it, so I don't know if it has worked at all historically.

Any insight is appreciated.

How did you check the refrigerant level, gauges? Is the circulation fan running? Possible a bad low pressure switch.

acguy,
Yes i have had the refrigerant level checked with gauges. I was looking for a low pressure switch but this unit doesn't seem to have one. Would it just be electronic?
There is a high one but no low pressure...
the unit does push air thru the system adequately. The AC unit starts to show some frozen condensation on the condenser.

Sounds low on refrigerant, the low pressure switch will be located on the largest line close to the compressor, on an access fitting.
There are only 2 things that will cause frost on the unit after 5min operation, low refrigerant charge or low air flow across the coil
