Just had engine replaced and blower motor isn't coming on, where should I look for the blower to be mounted so I can check to see if there is power getting to blower motor? I checked the fuse at the helm which is good and the switch light turns on. Mechanic who installed the engine is out of town for a few days so I just want to see if there is anything I can check. Boat is a 99 258 Vista. Thanks for any help.

Jason

Look in the engine compartment for the two large vent hoses. One is air "in" the other is "out" follow that one back to find the blower motor. There is a quick connect electrical connection on the wires to it, perhaps that is simply unplugged?

Good Luck,

Thanks for the response, I'm heading over there now, I'm hoping it is something that simple.

Even replacing the blower is simple, you just have to be kind of an acrobat on my Vista. Two hose clamps and two screws into the boat. The one I picked up at the marina the day mine died, was the same price as anywhere else.

Good Luck!

So it turns out I had been staring at it the whole time the other day, just didn't realize it was inside the vent hose. Played around with the quick connect and it came on but was still intermittent. I'm gonna try and clean the contacts on the quick connect and hopefully that will make it work properly.
