I have a 2004 Vista 268 with Bennett trim tabs - not sure of further specs. The other day, I noticed that the hinge plate is missing on the port side. I'm thinking it may have happened in transport for the winter.

Are these easy to find and replace myself? There does not appear to be any damage other than the missing plate and screws. I'm scheduled to launch tomorrow. Also, I'm thinking this is a repair I should do and not try to slide through the summer with the tab not functioning properly.

Thanks!

You'll need to know the length of the tab, you can look up the part number here:

I would call Bennett directly to for assistance and ordering.

It's not hard to replace, I took mine off last year. I filled the existing holes with epoxy, grind off excess epoxy and then drilled new holes, screws and 3M 5200.
