I found a 06 278 at a very fair price. It’s a little dirty but nothing I can’t handle. I have an 01 248 now. After walking the 278 I almost feel like there is more room on my 248 in the cockpit area. I don’t like or want the sink, it just infringes on the space. I have replaced almost everything motor included on my 248. It’s just starting to age. So I started to look into updating. Upholstery needs some repair and other minor stuff. The cockpit area is more important to me than the cuddly. I feel like all the room is gained in the bow. It’s such a tough decision to spend that much more money and not gain much cockpit space. Any input? |

It sounds like you already know the answer! If you need to be convinced, it’s likely not the boat for you. Our 268 had a nice open feel to it... no sink, lots of room. If you don’t plan to trailer, the 288 and 298 have plenty of room without getting too big / expensive. |

268 was my original choice when I started looking. Last year they made them was 05. So I started looking for a little newer. 278 was the replacement I also looked at the 288 but they step up to 2 motors and harder to trailer. Long term I would like a 288/298 but not ready for it yet. Guess I’ll either stay where I’m at or shop for a last model 268. Thanks |
