My wife and I are thinking about purchasing a 2008 358 Vista. The boat is in good shape, except inside the rumble seat storage area, the gel coat is damaged? the White coat is cracked and flaking away revealing the brown/red raw fiberglass beneath. Is this a know issue? Could the damage have been caused by excessive heat (since it is directly over the engines)? Could this indicate a overheating issue with one of the engines? What would be a guesstimate to repair the damage ($2k)? What else might have caused the delamination of the Gel coat and fiberglass? Thanks in advance to all those who can offer some guidance! |
