Recent owner of 2008 Vista 338, love the boat, living in Florida lots of rain. Whenever we get rain, water accumulates in bilge area below sump pump box. Seems to seep in around caulking that is around limber tube. Have no idea where or how this water gets in. Also have water that gets into the sump pump box above this area, but have never used shower, or bath sink, or galley sink, took cover off of sump box, and manually pumped out, but it still accumulates water every week, any ideas?

Just a couple suggestions, a lot of the vistas get water through the anchor locker. The drain is too high, so the people on here have sealed (caulked the edges of the bottom of the locker to seal it) and some have also raised the bottom up (filled it) so that the drain is at the lowest point in the locker. Not sure that’s how yours is set up

Where does our AC condensation go? I have Heard some go to the shower sump, some go to the bilge, just a thought

Good luck on finding these gremlins!

Thanks for the reply, the A/C is off, and sump pump box is dry. As to the water below the box, still seeping in slowly, anchor box is dry, any other thoughts ?

Not sure but there is some water in mine too. My boat sits in a slip for half the year. Are these boats bilges supposed to be bone dry? Ideally I know yes, but is this realistic for an 18 year old boat? I don't have roof over my slip like a carport. I have 2 bilge pumps an aft and forward, and a AC unit. Both bilge pumps work ( I check them often) but there seems to be a little bit of water in the bilges. Is that normal?
