There is an adhesive backing so you just clean the floor, pull back the backing, put it on, and step on it to make it stick. I also used some spray adhesive. Just to be sure.

Would the spray adhesive not make the self adhesive less effective? Did you put the spray all over the back of the mats?

No idea. Possibly. But it is holding incredibly well so far. I didn’t douse it... more like just the edges.
