OK, I just had a very strange thing happen that I only have one explanation. I have been out of town and not been to the boat in a few weeks. I am planning a trip this weekend so I wanted to check everything out. Well the Gen would not start. I looked and looked. Acted as it was not getting any fuel. So I turned the ignition switches on, on Port engine (1/3 tank) right where it was, the starboard engine (empty). How could this be? I pulled over to the fuel dock brought the starboard tank back to 1/3. And the gen started. So either someone syphoned out my gas or the generator ran the gas out. First I rarely use the gen and I have a very careful routine I go thorough when I bring the boat it. So there is no way I left the gen on. So has anyone ever heard of the generator starting by its self, yes I had the batteries on. We did have some thunderstorms while I was away . . . I'm at a loss. The only other thing would be if someone got on my boat and was just flipping switches and accidently push the start button in the power panel. Any other thoughts ??

It's very possible someone siphoned your gas. Are you sure you don't have a leak in the tank or line? It may have been pumped overboard by a bilge pump.

Take a quick picture wherever your hour meter is located for the generator- it will let you know if it has “been running” , even when you are absent.
