I have a late 2002 Vista 268 that is new to me. The bimini cover attaches to the radar arch with stainless snaps. I've read that the bimini is meant to fold into tow separate pieces (fore and aft) with two boot covers. I have the covers, but was hoping to see a pic of this assembly folded with the boots on before I try it.

Anyone able to provide a photo?

We have those same boots on our 268 but a word of caution when using those if you tow due to a recent experience of ours. This summer we towed over 10 hrs from Indiana to Southern Ontario and I used those boots instead of taking everything completely off and storing inside the boat like i normally do. When we arrived it was discovered that the boot flapping in the wind caused the zipper to chew through our bimini and cause a massive 10 inch long hole. Luckily I had a roll of black Gorilla duct tape that held for our entire 2 week trip or it could have been a disaster.

Ive also heard of those boot unzipping going down the road and the top becoming a sail. If you are only using it while boating then theres really nothing to worry about. Be careful when unzipping the rear top as that middle bar likes to swing downward and hit your head

We put a small bungee around each end of our bimini to control the flapping. We trailer 20 miles each way every weekend and have towed 4 hours up to lake Superior a few times.

Thanks for the advice. We marina the boat, it's just for cruising with the top down :)
