Well, Had a half day today, so I changed out that stupid moron of a design, the galley faucet. In the pics you can see the problem. If you are a 248 owner, you know what the problem is. For some reason they installed a faucet that lets water run down the back of the counter unless you have it on almost full blast. Now, If someone gets on the boat while you have the water on, you have a real wet mess to clean up. I found this faucet on Ebay. Its a Scandvik. Made for rvs and marine applications. Really simple fix that took only about 30 minutes or so to do. Fit the factory hole and even used the existing supply lines.

Works very well and I am glad that it was an easy fix to a big problem.
A few other things I have been doing are,
Adding two shelves in the one cabinet that we have. It wasnt very good for storage. Should be better now

And there is the issue of underwater lights and the leds under the platform. This is what the tab mounted lights will look like

Havent finished them and waiting for my leds for the platform still. Oh, my AC unit finally arrived. That should be fun. Will be very busy this month. Less than a month to launch

Though we haven’t taken delivery of our 248 (two weeks and counting) I did take several photos while we were at the dealer. It looks like Four Winns has changed the facet design. It looks very similar to your second photo.
I like the shelves; that is on my “to due” list. A large empty cabinet was not the best design FW could have come up with. Question; where did you get the shelves and is the hardware stainless

All the shelving material was bought at Home Depot. I am not sure what the material is, but being in the cabin I wasnt that conserned with that. The total cost was about 12.00. Will work out well. Plates on one shelf, smaller platesand bowls on another and finally the glasses on the top. We used to have everything stacked up in there and it was really hard to just get a plate out. Should work out well.

Nice job 248!

That original faucet can be a pain. I haven't had any problems since I put the water filter on it. But without it, you are correct anything less than full bore resulted in water on the countertop.

Love the shelves! Adding that to the to do list!

Well I went and bought the PUR water filter ($25) it does seem a tad heavy, so I didn't install yet, but have in boat. I ended up buying a new rotatable screw on tip. We will give that a try. It was only $3.

That one looks a lot different than the one that I picked up for my vista. It actually looks a lot more compact than the one I picked up.

Brett, I have not installed the PUR filter, I thought it was too big and heavy. So I opt. to get just a swivel nozzle and give that a try.

Oh I was going to say! :)

Well FWIW I haven't had any issues using the PUR filter on the stock faucet.

I installed the same swiveling aerator in my 258 Vista. It works great and was $4 at my local hardware store.
