As most of you know, I havebeen busy personalizing the boat. I have been getting alot of questions as to where I got the items that I installed. Hopefully I am not breaking any rules by posting the links to the sites for the items I have purchased. I am sure that there are better or less expensive things out there, but these are the places I got them.
As far as the AC. I got it from Ocean Breeze. I bought the 7000 btu with electric heat. It came with the complete istall kit and a three year warranty. I paid 1200.00 shipped to my house for that.

They were very helpful and really easy to deal with. Again, I know that its not a Cruisair or Mermaid, Just about half the price.
The Led stiprs under the platform came from an ebay seller by the Bliss-star. These are the same ones I got.

The tab mount lights are really cool. They are made of brass and I found out after that they are available in Stainless. There is a boat in the marina down here that has the Hurley lights on the tabs. These are the same. Only thing is the mount is different and you buy them individually. The install was straight forward. Ran the wires to the helm, installed a switch and that was that.

I ended up buyin 5 watt triple led bulbs instead of using halogen.
I will try to get some more pics posted this week or next

I like the LEDs! I need to find them in blue for our boat.
Keep the updates coming, I like the ideas for future projects for me.

Do you have good (close up) pics of the lights, tab lights and mounting brackets? I am thinking about doing this.

The boat is in the water now. The only pics I have are the ones I already posted.
These are the lights I bought. You can see the mount in the picture.

Still looking around. Probably wont do anything this year though. Would rather just wait for the 09.

Sadly FW only makes one kind of cruiser. As do most boat lines. The 289 Bayliner has a lot to offer and has no complaints or major problems other than a stigma attached to it.

You are looking to get into something with a flybridge? I gotta tell you this is one of the things I wish FW would explore in introducing into their cruiser line.

No fly on the 289 BL. Hardtop "classic style" window cabin cruiser.

I have no desire for bridge boat. I love the looks of the older Chris Crafts. The Catalina 281 is an awsome boat, and I wish they would bring it back. There are really no other resonably priced cruisers of that style available. With that, I have been doing some research, and can not really find any bad points to that specific boat. We shall see. At this point I am still kicking the idea around
