I'm new to boating and could use some advise. I have a 98 Vista 258; we've had it four about a month and up until today everything was working fine. The problem is with the trim tabs, they didn't appear to be working at all, then when we got back to the slip I confirmed they are not moving. Anyone else had problems like this? What can I do to fix them?

Check your fluid levels and make sure they are not too low, or out.
They are Bennett tabs, so parts like cylinders and electrics can be found and replaced easily. I would also check your electrical connections with a meter. Both at the tab and at the switches on the helm.

Thanks Cap'n Morgan, I checked the fluid level, all okay. Then found a blown 20 Amp fuse - replaced the fuse and now they work good as new.

Thanks again.
